Martin Allan

With a decade of operational expertise in the Middle East, particularly in Iraq, he has served as a security and intelligence contractor for both the US Department of Defence and the US State Department. Martin also led security operations in Libya for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Transitioning his unique operational and intelligence background to the corporate sector, Martin excels in commercial intelligence, due diligence, and security matters. His skills in conflict resolution enhance his ability to negotiate business relationships with new clients, ensuring smooth market entry and sustainable partnerships. Martin is also a published author of "Ebbing Sanity" which recounts his experiences as a security contractor. His deep connections to the Middle East, as a fluent Arabic speaker further bolster his capabilities in navigating and advising on new market entries into the region.
Basil Nally
Basil Nally is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in strategic and commercial leadership, developed through senior roles within FTSE 100 companies in the United Kingdom. His expertise spans business development, corporate strategy, and the formation of high-level partnerships across both regulated and competitive markets, forming a strong foundation for his work in global commodities. He currently serves as Director of Energy at Poseidon Commodity Partners, a full-service commodities agency founded by John King, former Global Head of Commodity Derivatives at BNP Paribas. Poseidon's team includes former senior traders from leading firms such as Glencore and Trafigura, and operates across a broad range of commodities including crude oil, LNG, refined products, gold, and soft commodities. In this role, Basil is instrumental in originating and structuring complex transactions that align physical commodity flows with financing solutions, leveraging a robust global network.
